ANYWAY YVES AIN'T NO QUITTER! they found alcohol and they can be taken out of the confessional so he takes a tray and brings one beer, one cocktail, and like three shots as he starts to roam the town. just to find jacopo

when he does: ]

Oh, Monsieur! Delivery!

[ oh obligatory fit check instead of sexy angel costume! though at least now i can mention that yves was probably covered in bandages beneath his angel costume earlier so it wasn't even that scandalous. if nothing else, it just shows that the lace half mask he was wearing wasn't just part of the costume - it's an outfit staple. yay! ]

[ Jacopo seems to be just... Somewhere in an open area, not doing anything in particular except having his arms crossed and looking at absolutely nothing with some kind of intensity. He's just in purple and gold robes (right). Simple, but dressed well.

Anyway, he turns his attention over, but doesn't say anything. ]

but yves will offer up the tray with a curious look ]

They didn't have any wine at the tavern... but there was beer, some mixed drinks, and shots. [ he took three... to make up for lack of liquid volume ] Do you want any?

So this afterlife doesn't consider imbibing liquor as a sin. Lucky us.

[ Looking at the tray mildly curious. ]

Nope! You said you prefer to take your drink alone, right? So I was going to bring you some and leave you to it. Though I'm always available if you change your mind about company.

[ His eyes stay on the tray, narrowing a bit slightly in a twitch before relaxing. ]

Well, you wanted wine, so I thought I'd at least try to get you alcohol since I saw it and thought of you.

... Yes, I followed that train of thought, but I had meant it all as a joke.

[ He is getting a sense that so much is being misunderstood here and he's weighting the effort and time to clarify and fix any of it. ]

[ In silence, he looks at Yves suspiciously, then to the fog before he closes his eyes and massages his temples.

All while holding this beer. ]

[ he's a little pleased about this, smiling as he points out to the direction of the spa ]

[ He will follow and he's piecing together the context clues here about where they're going. ]

It is. Needing to sleep, then being able to wake up while knowing you're dead is a strange experience.

The alcohol does take the edge off, huh? Or at least makes it easier to commiserate.
