Hmm... No, I can't forgive you. Because I think I need you to take that back, because hearing we might be alike sounds like a compliment to me.

but he'll slowly step around to where jiaoqiu is sitting with some of the hair products in hand - ]

I'll put your accessory aside for now, Jiao. [ so that yves can gently comb his hair... ]

I can't stop you from taking it however you'd like.

[ a little chuckle, at this. fair enough. ]

And yes, alright. I'll hold it, if you don't mind. [ a beat. ] Mind the ears.

[ they're sensitive!! ]

Oh! Understood.

[ he'll be careful then, making sure not to brush against the ears as he combs through jiaoqiu's hair. he's gentle in his touch, and he'll put in a very nice hair oil as he goes, which will make his hair that much shinier and softer... and it'll smile nice. a little spicy... ]

You don't go visit the spa much, Jiao? Are you called upon a lot as a healer?

[ spicy fox flavor... he doesn't seem to mind the combing, it's nice? he can't remember the last time someone did this for him. ]

Haha. I think the last time I visited any sort of spa or hot springs was a century ago. [ he's exaggerating, probably, but. ] My work keeps me busy. General Feixiao is... was the most vexing patient I've ever had.

[ yea like a nice little cinnamon kick alongside vanilla or something. a toasty latte fox.

She must’ve kept you occupied. I’m sure my partner would say the same about me when I was being a handful.

How did you end up taking care of her?

However I could. [ ... ] I'd hoped I'd be able to see the fruits of my labor, but I suppose we can't always have what we want.

Your partner, hm? I don't know that I've ever asked what you do.

Maybe... heaven gives us a chance to see them - just to see how they are. Or at least, I think it'd be nice.

[ though the question makes yves laugh because that is... varied ]

No two days are the same, that's for sure. It's nice just to be able to help people out with whatever their troubles might be. I've gotten to do a lot of things as a result of it.

We only have so many days to experience a rich and fulfilling life. I'm glad that you seem to have had a good chance.
