I died because my friend killed me, but he only killed me because... I decided I needed to kill him first. Not because I was mad at him, or because I hated him... but because he was a danger to other people. So I did it to protect the people I loved, and because... he'd become someone I couldn't recognize anymore.

It's not unfamiliar.

You're a kind person, Yves. Soft. The decision to take someone's life is one that you don't make lightly. But it's the first decision you'll have to make as soon as you get your second chance, isn't it?

That's not the timeline I want to return to. I don't want to be somewhere where all my friends are dead, and one at my own hand.
