but WHEREVER MARCOH IS IDK MAYBE NEW LOCATIONS, yves will just wander up to him with a big wave! and also arms open for a hug. every week is affection week ]

[ It's a new week!!! Turns out Marcoh being physically open is not a w0 fluke because he will give Yves one if demanded. ]

[ what if it's a strong suggestion and not a demand? yves will happily enjoy this hug - but it's just a little greeting one and he'll pull back to fish a small notebook out of his coat pocket. inside two pictures have been tucked inside the pages and he'll offer them both out to marcoh ]

Thanks for asking. The angels showed me how to use a "printer" so now I can print all our photos out.

What if I started coming to visit your room more and asked you to drink with me? Though I guess Monsieur Lucas could come, too.

[ Oh. The easy energy disappears. Flickers of dark in the same shade of his halo start seeping through his clothes, almost. ]

Mm... basically, I asked Jing Yuan earlier in the week about how much he intended to go home and who he had to return to. He spoke very highly of someone, his retainer, who... I think appeared during the... battle on Sunday. [ what does he call it. he didn't like it. ] So when I talked to him on Saturday, it didn't make sense to me that he sounded like he didn't care anymore... and how he didn't even care about returning to life.

Given how much Jiao cared about him... I don't think it makes sense for him to suddenly be such a callous person. So I think... something happened. Or something was wrong with him by that point.

But when I talked to the angels... they said that they can't detect any anomalies, and nothing should've been able to infiltrate this space. Gamaliel went to double-check about the phenomenon on Thursday with all the locked doors, but hasn't found anything. They told me to keep an eye out this week, to see if we can see any odd behavior... but it must appear later. Maybe Wednesday?

Even though they don't think it'll happen again, I thought I'd just tell you and some other people since I'm sure you asked too... Just in case.

I spoke to him and he said he killed because he was bored.

[ The dark spots flare up to something redder, almost like smouldering lava inside him. ]

He didn't have a shred of remorse or regret. If he was a different person in his last moments, then Jing Yuan died a time ago. Madness or not, I don't pity someone who can say something like that so callously.

[ oh! well, okay. yves just looks on for a moment, and keeps his hand on marcoh's arm. concern intensifies, but it's almost entirely for marcoh ]

... I think it makes sense to be angry about something like that. But I think then... I'm mad at whatever or whoever was affecting Jing Yuan's mind so badly that he'd be able to say that.

I don't think you have to pity the man he became. But I'm worried about what it means, that someone who was kind can suddenly become like that.

His people deteriorate from one of only two things. Battle or madness, is what he said. I don't hold a man responsible for his sickness but I don't forgive him for what he does either.

... but if sickness can come back here, then that means...

[ a pause ] If Monsieur Lucas starts to appear sick, or starts coughing at all, please let me know.

I just think... if we're opening the idea to Jing Yuan being afflicted by sickness, that means we can get sick here from things that affected us in life. If that's the case... I'm worried about Monsieur Lucas.

[ it's not the mara but listen yves is willing to listen to the theory ]

But then if there's the chance he wasn't afflicted by his people's sickness, then it might be something else. Even if it's worse to have a nebulous 'something else' we don't understand.

I'd rather be cautious and consider everything.

I talked to the angels too. Some good, some bad. They're angry about it, but they feel bad they didn't know anything and couldn't warn us about it.

They're managing to keep contact with God? And they seem unhappy about it also.
