yves has been exploring! he's trying to politely keep all his stuff on one side of the room, which is also where his fat fat pufferfish is going to be looking on as he fusses about. aside from his own belongings, he seems to be in the middle of dividing up some of the things he got from the convenience store!
there's two little piles: each of them have a towel, as well as the necessary toiletries from the convenience store. but he's also in the middle of putting some cookies on one pile and then moving it to the other empty bed that isn't his! presumably at this point it's when the door opens and he brightens up immediately ]

I'm used to dorms, but not really sharing a bedroom. Don't they usually separate us based on age? [ that's how the tower does it ] I don't usually fall asleep in weird places, anyway. I'll be fine.

There are jobs for anyone who's able to work, but we don't start until we're at least twenty. As far as I know, it's just normal stuff for running the Tower... cooks, instructors, guards, and stuff. I have no idea what I'll be doing yet.

It's an isolated country - for a lot of reasons. There was a curse on our lands until recently and then there was [ a beat ] some turmoil that made it dangerous.

You don't need to know right away. It's alright to take a second just to gain your bearings before having to worry about how to look after other people. You can let yourself be looked after for a bit.
