Grandpa taught me. He'd say "any ingredient can be used in dishes no matter how strange!" And then he'd show me how to care for plants and flowers, and then sometimes we'd eat what we grew. [ laughs ] We got a lot of stomach aches back then... but it was really fun. It became my hobby eventually, especially handling flowers.
[ sooooo fondly ough. he's admiring the soil before standing and brushing his hands off ]
Nothing yet but I wanna try growing something new... Have you heard of cross-breeding before? I do it with flowers sometimes but maybe we can make new types of veggies...
[ because they're making it over to the gardening shed that i've decided is here and yves is going to rifle through it for supplies. he finds a pair of actual gardening gloves instead of claude's elegant white ones and offers them out ]
We can do something fun and relaxing after. That's one of the best parts of a hard day's work.

Nah, it was optional. I did enjoy growing mushrooms though...
[ Hehe. ]
Why did you learn?

[ sooooo fondly ough. he's admiring the soil before standing and brushing his hands off ]
What'd you grow mushrooms for?
no subject
Mostly to see what kind of indigestion I can cause.
no subject
For pranks?
no subject
[ wouldn't he ]
no subject
[ SO EASILY as he admires the land again ]
What should I grow here tomorrow...? Do you want anything? Maybe we can do more mushrooms...

[ Thoughtful. ]
But it would be helpful for raising hardier crops.

[ it sounds like it'd help a lot of people... which yves is always game for ]
no subject
[ labour...? never heard of her ]
no subject
immediately grinning ]
Don't worry, you're in good hands! It's worthwhile to get dirty now and then.
[ looping arms with claude and pulling him to go find wherever the hell they store seed packets here heHEHEHOHO ]

This is the most noble-like thing about you so far...

Fun and relaxing? I'm going to need more details to stay motivated.

[ yves is already rolling up his sleeves and grabbing his own pair of gloves as well as some garden shovels and packets of seeds...
continues rattling things off until claude stops him ]
Tea? Dinner? Dancing?

[ he wants to be boiled like a crab ]
no subject
[ unclear if that's what happened
but he puts all the necessary things for farming into a lil wheel barrow ]
I think it'd be good for tired muscles, too.
no subject
[ ?? About... your body? Can't relate. Anyway, just watches Yves do all the work. ]
You're right in that. I do miss the strain of an exhausted body after a long day of training.
no subject
[ was he… yves is saying so with a gremlin smile
but he’ll bring their supplies over to an empty row of soil and reach out ]
Need help with your glove, Claude?
[ makes the guy with a broken arm do labor ]
no subject
No, I can get it on all right.
[ He is waiting for instruction. ]
