Mm... I don't know. They actually were able to come up with a cure a few years after Monsieur Lucas died, so about two years ago for me.

I'm not sure if I know the details... We had a genius scientist on our island who was able to figure it out after working night and day for years to try to untangle it. He just announced a cure one day, and shared it with everyone.

Mm-hmm. Though... we had a few other problems come up these past few years... so I wouldn't say it's exactly been, um, good or peaceful since then.

... but hopefully now, they have a better chance. I took care of the worst problem on my way out.

But even if I come back to life at that point, most of my friends have died. There is someone I left behind that I already miss everyday, but...

I don't know what I'd do with a long, long life alone.

... it's complicated. It won't work well, because we all died at different times. And I... I wouldn't want them to survive through the same years I did. Half the population of the island died.

I wasn't trying to do anything, but it is what sounds right. If everybody can get a chance to do things right and go back, then I think everybody should at least have the choice on Judgment Day.

... I need to get out of Prehevil first, if they are putting me back there. Then I have to get to the Kingdom of Rondon as soon as I can.

It wasn't really by choice. It was the first train I took out, and then it broke down in the outskirts.

Where were you headed...? Going somewhere with your sister?

I asked her to meet me there.

Rondon is probably safe, but I didn't get to make sure of it. For her. I just need to go back enough to do that. Whatever happens to me afterwards doesn't matter.
